our story

In January 2008, outside the Hamptons, Chefs Cameron Jordan and Louis Hamel opened CAREIT Urban Deli. They welcomed Chefs Sarah Radloff and Michael Fingas in the Crestwood Centre on 142 st. shortly after in March 2009.

Together we've teamed up with local producers showcasing what we believe to be the top cuts of meat in Edmonton. We cut and marinade steaks, farm raised chicken and pork as well prepare meats in a variety of unique ways such as Beef Kabobs or Salmon stuffed with Goat Cheese and Spinach. Fresh Roasted Turkey, Chicken and Top Round are roasted daily and sold behind the deli counter and used in all of our deli sandwiches and paninis.

Homemade Stocks and Soups are made daily, and we rotate in vegetarian and celiac options. A large variety of meals are made daily ranging from Sheppard's Pie, Butter Chicken, Tourtieres and Caramel Bread Pudding. Our fresh ready to go salads with creative dressings are convenient and easy to assemble. We have also recently introduced a new line of Pastries which includes cakes, pies, tarts and loaves.

We use ingredients grown or made in Alberta and continually support helping the environment and our communities. We know you'll find CAREIT to be the local deli down the street, focusing on fun knowledgeable service and high quality foods with unmatched local freshness.
